KNow where your trainer was certified ...know what it takes to stay certified...For me American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) CPT Certification requies that I do 40 hours of CEU every 3 years! My Neta Group Exercise requires 20 hours every 2 years! The list goes on....
My point is your trainer should be continue to be ingesting information...We all need to keep up ...Sometimes the refresher reminds us not to be lax in the fundaments!
